Amazon has been giving free credits to startups. The company has an active AWS active program. This program offers two packages meant to help startups. The two programs are the AWS Active Founders, which is meant for startups without funding, and the AWS Active Portfolio, which is meant for startups associated with AWS Active Provider.
Here are the steps you can follow to get the free credits in India
Step 1
The first thing you need to do is register your profile on the Startup India website and then apply for DPIIT. Startup India is a website created by the Indian government to support startups. For you to get the AWS credit, you must be certified by DPIIT, and therefore, it is important to ensure that you fill in the correct details of your startup on the DPIIT website. Once you register on the DPIIT website, you will take only 3 – 4 days to get the DPIIT Recognition Number.
Step 2
Once you are registered and recognized at the DPIIT, you can use the different startup India resources that are available. If you want the AWS resource from the startup India, you need to send an email to startup India asking for the organization ID. Additionally, you need to write your certificate number and send the email from your official email address to dipp-startups@nic.in.
Step 3
The third step is to register for the AWS program. Note that you can only apply for the AWS activate program with your organization ID.
Fill in the details of your startup, how you plan to use the credit, and the purpose of your startup. If your application is approved, you will get the credits in your account within 10 business days. They will also send an email to you confirming the same.
